Any one have this lens? What are your thoughts? I am looking for a faster focusing alternative to the 85 1.4 D. I know the G is out there but can't justify the price. Lens will be mainly used for Kids portraits.

If Dom has one you know its good!! Now off to the search function for you. :biggrin:
haha :biggrin::cool:

I have to say its a fun lens - rarely stop it down below f/2.

I am falling back in love with my 70-200 though - its essentially a 200 prime for me since I leave it at 200mm most of the time.

Same here, I am spoiled by the 70-200 and ever since Nikon calibrated the focusing for me it is unbeatable, even with prime lenses.
