Hi folks.

So I was reading my D90 manual and it was talking avout how some of the AF modes need the range info provided only by Nikkor D and G lenses.
That got me think as to whether or not my Sigma lenses provided the same data to the camera. I guess I assumed they were fully compatable.

Are they? Thanks.

Most of Sigma's are D since they have A rings. Your Sigma lenses should work fine. One thing i have heard about Sigma is that reverse engineer the F mount for their lenses so some times there can be issues. These issues center around exposure since the information may not be comunicated properly by the lens to the body. In these cases Sigma often rechips the lenses.

I had a problem with an older Sigma lens on my D700 that had sat on the shelf at my dealers for four years. Sigma got me an updated version and it's worked perfectly since then. No additional costs to me.
