Simple (?) Photoshop question

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Czechman01, Jul 11, 2007.

  1. You know how you can hit the number keys to control the OPACITY of certain tools? Well, why is it now when I hit a number it changes the FLOW?

Arghhhh! How did I manage to do that?

  2. Was your shift key somehow stuck?
That's how you use the numbers for flow [shift]+num.

When strange things happen around me I look to the cats first. Was one of yours sitting near the keyboard?
Mine are very adept at not only deleting things but in confirming the "are you sure?" dialog.

  3. Okay, that's good to know, but when I hold the Shift key down it changes the Opacity. It used to be the default to change the Opacity, now the default is Flow.

How do I get the default back to Opacity?

Oh, my cats are perfect, they would nevvvvver do anything like that

I don't have any way of verifying this at the moment, but is your CAPS key engaged?

  5. That was the first thing I checked and the Caps Lock key has no affect.

  6. OK, now this is really strange... and there are NO cats around:smile:

    MINE JUST CHANGED TOO!!!

It worked as normal yesterday when I was trying to figure out your problem, now it is hosed up.

We need to get hold of this gremlin!

  7. Update,
It only seems to be the brush tool. Other tools with Opacity & Flow options work normally.

    Strange indeed.

  8. GOT IT.
It is that little airbrush icon to the right of Flow & Opacity.

When it is depressed Flow gets the unshifted numbers, when off Opacity gets them.
