Got a chance to see the Formula 1 qualifiers on Saturday, and since this guy won the GP on Sunday I thought I'd show off a little. D60, 70-300 VR at 240mm, f5.6, 1/250, ISO1600 from row 19 at Turn 1 Grandstand. I went all manual on this, and I gained a little confidence from some of these shots turning out quite nice. I'm sorry you can't hear the magnificent NOISE they make! {}
Yes, but none as good as this. Most are a little on the noisy side, and then there's the matter of the fence :x It was so exciting watching the screen building anticipation for when Lewis and the Ferraris would scream through the turns... The best shots are from when they exit the pit lane, because when they came full tilt they were always behind the fence (oh, and going 300 k/h of course). But I'll see if I can't fix up one or two of the Hamilton shots for ya...
Very nice. Wish I was there. It was a wild race - first F1 night race! You're right about the noise, almost makes your ears bleed. Like to see more if you have them. thanks
More - no details this time, as I don't know who all of them are. But I DO know which ones are Lewis Hamilton.... {} {} {} {} {} Tips on how to sharpen a little and the best way to work on the noise in CaptureNX2 welcome. However, this is more a bunch of pictures from the Singapore F1 than me showing off my photo skills, yeah?
What am I talking about? Of course you can. Just turn it up: http://hovmod.com/music/temp/STE-001.mp3
Thanks guys. It was unexpectedly fun to be there... I looked at the various noise reduction tools, and they were all the same price, more or less, so I decided on one that had good results AND was said to be fast. Here are the same pictures after a run through Noiseware: {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} I love the results of that very quick editing session. Wow. Impressed. Thanks for input and advice everyone!
