Bolsa Chica Ben? I think I recognize that bird :!: :!: :!:

We saw 3 of them flying "in formation" and skimming on our vacation and it was quite fun shooting them from the boardwalk.

Ben, your goal has been the Osprey which I seem to find in abundance. My goal is the Skimmer and here you are posting a bunch of shots!!!!

Maybe we should get together for a shoot and we'd both be happy!! :D

Great shots, all of them!!

Most of these were taken at San Jaoquin Wildlife Center, in Irvine Calif.

I have always wondered what would happen if a skimmer hit a submerged log or rock. Really nice images of an amazing bird.
Me to Gordon but they seem to know when it's time to serve or rise :)
I got a decent series of this guy just going around the sand bar didn't look like he missed a beat
