Another shot of Sky.
Should I have done something about the blue in the pic?
Do you mean the blue in the sky, or the slight blue cast in the image? If the latter, you probably have the white balance set a little too cool.
Overall though, this is a very nice shot.
Yes, I meant the over-all blue cast. WB is a challenge for me. Any suggestions?
Wind blowing through the hair.....nice shot!!
Cute bulldog in your avatar!
I'm not sure that the D100 can set the WB in Kelvin (K on the D2H), but after my classes with Ron Reznick, that's what I use. I sometimes (often??) don't get it perfect, but if you are shooting RAW, then you can correct it with no loss of data in Capture.
I think you said that you have been experimenting with shooting RAW, right? If not, I highly recommend it. It gives you so much more flexibility.
Does that help any?
You can set the Kelvin in Capture.
A little secret i stumbled on in daylight is to shoot WB Flash.. Flash is 6500. Daylight. Works better for me.
Then you can always change it in capture. I find the D100 tends to the red side.
Great photo of a really beautiful Pup.
Thanks for the WB suggestions. Can't wait to try them!
And, thanks for the nice comments re my pooch.
I like this shot. The soft focus really adds to the sort of dreamy character of the shot. Well done and a fine looking animal.
