Man, am I ever getting cabin fever. I actually shot these little guys from inside the house, through the opened glass sliding door. I'm such a lightweight. Hate the coooold! Harris, and others, I'm wintering down there next winter! I mean it!
Starting from the best down to the worst. Shot W/D2X/200-400VR+TC 1.4 in HSC mode.

Excellent captures Steve.

Patrick and I went out to the pond at lunch today, because it was pretty warm this morning. By the time we got there, it was down into the 40's, but worse, we had a 25-35 MPH wind. We froze our a**es off.... :?

Got a few decent pics, but none as good as these.

Great job!!

Thanks Gordon,

Pretty birds Steve, nicely done.
The 1st one is fairly sharp, but the others aren't the best. Not sure what hapenned there. I even used a cable release, but could be my shutter was just too slow for a nervous, twitchy bird at these magnifications. that, or I didn't get a good focus lock.
