Mike -

I recognize the purple flower - I think . Looks to be Periwinkle (vinca minor) - one of my favorite Spring harbingers.

I planted, with some difficulty, about 100 vinca bare roots last Friday evening underneath the 70-year old sugar maple in our back yard. Once that tree leafs out, there isn't much sunlight under it so I'm hoping that the vinca will both control erosion and provide a ground cover.

Not sure about the white ones, but yours is a fine arrangement.

Thanks Eric. It's just something I was playing with last night. I think you're right about the Vinca. The white flowers are some type of Viburnum, I believe.
