Small Town USA and My First Attempt At GIMP

It's a gorgeous afternoon in my little town, so I walked outside and snapped a few shots.

I thought I'd take a shot at doing some editing with GIMP. What follows is the original and then edited shot. Any comments and tips on how to improve it are welcomed, especially trying to clone out power lines with a partly cloudy sky. I think it looks OK, but I'm sure it could be a lot better.

Very nice editing! I like the increased saturation in the GIMP shot; what you did really made the image pop!

After editing as already said much better pop! I would like to see the grass on the left side a bit greener.
