Smoke Help

Discussion in 'Landscapes, Architecture, and Cityscapes' started by EastCoastFlyer, Apr 29, 2007.

  1. Had a rare free afternoon to shoot -- downtown Jacksonville (actually the entire region) is socked in with sepia-gray smoke from the south Georgia wildfire (north wind). Shot 110 frames, but not much is savageable because of the haze -- any suggestions about cleaning this kind of thing up? Here's a specimen that clearly demonstrates the issue -- I brought up the sats a bit to bring out the skyline... Thanks!

  2. Try this:
    Adjust levels and increase contrast.
It will help wth the buildings some. The water and sky look like problem areas.

That smoke is all the way down here to central fla.. Quite heavy. I am by cocoa beach.

Very very tough to shoot through. I would not even try

Not even sure I will expect much from a space shuttle shot in June. To much haze this time of year.
