  2. Beautiful iq and processing, David!
The choice of your point of view works really well, especially in #1 & 7.
I also like how you captured the ejecting cartridges.

  3. Great use of b&w. Really liked 1,2,5-7. That shotgun in 7 is sure different.

I think B&W makes even stronger images....and I've always been a fan of your shooting shots! :D

  5. You captured everything beautifully, except the noise, which you can just about SEE! Nicely done David.

  6. Bart _ thanks for the compliments..& just for you:)

  7. Hi Rick,
It's a Kolar Trap special with a 34inch unsingle barrel

  8. Karen - Thanks - much appreciated..

I prefer to think of that as grain:D

Noise is about the only disadvantage I have found with the micro4/3rds Olympus system compared to the full frame D4 that I used to own - could push the iso really high with that camera when coupled to the 70-200 f2.8 - but boy was that a heavy rig to walk around with all day.

  9. I was thinking about the noise of the shotgun, NOT photographic noise! Meant as a compliment for these shots being so detailed. And while you cannot hear the noise of the shotgun, you can see visual cues that there is indeed loud noise.

  10. Really nice shots, David, and perfect for b&w! Great catch on #3 in the second series!

  11. "I was thinking about the noise of the shotgun, NOT photographic noise!"

My mistake - assumed noise meant photo - not sound:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

    Thanks for the compliments

  12. (y)
    Wonderfully captured!

  13. Wow, these are amazing

  14. Almost makes me want to go out and try it again...but it's been 35 years since I was into this  .

Certainly excellent photographs, but I'm a curmudgeon who prefers color.:D

  15. Great images, and great processing....well done!

  16. Really great series! I love the three you added of the cartridges, especially No. 2! Like the smoke trails from the gun and back behind the man's head.

  17. Excellent set , great processing David !

  18. just to please you, I'll commit heresy & post colour in the B&W section:D
