Thanks for the update. It is getting to be that time of year and I was wondering when we could expect to start seeing them.

In certain spots the whole shoreline is a whiteout. Where do they congregate in your state?

In our part of the state, the most common area that I am aware of is throughout the Skagit Valley, midway between Seattle and Bellingham. What part of B.C are you in?

I'm in Vancouver. I guess they go to the Skagit to get whatever is left in the farmer's fields, and then off to Vegas for some R&R :D

While I do chase geese and eagles in the winter, I remember in 2012 or 2013 when you had a large snowy owl eruption near White Rock. I so wanted to head up to see and photograph them, but I was sitting in a hospital getting chemo treatments all winter. I am waiting for another one, but it could be along wait. Perhaps I'd have better luck if I headed to Vegas, but who has luck in Vegas? ;)
