Snowboarding...

  1. First time shooting this, my daughter's BF is a nationally ranked, sponsored 'boarder; he's going to the Nationals next month in Colorado. Today he and his younger brother were in a contest close by.

I was able to bluff my way onto one of the jumps, but didn't dare move to the other side, so I know the background stinks w/ the lift/wires...oh well.

  2. nice set!

but for being nationally ranked, her BF looks like he's doing the easiest trick, out of that bunch!

  3. thanks...yeah I guess his coach told him to lay off since he's already going to the Nationals, didn't want to risk getting hurt.

  4. Chris -

Despite the backgrounds, these are great shots! Good action and great timing. My son was in a big air and rail jam contest this past weekend as well. He has the same board as the rider in your first photo (Burton Custom).

    Well done!

  5. Great action awesome colors #7 rocks

  6. Thanks Pete...

    Thanks Mike...

  7. Chris,

    Great shots.

Get lower, and in post take out the wires in 3, 4 and 8 via a crop and cloning. JMHO.

  8. Thanks Mark...Yeah I tried getting lower but couldn't pick up the boarder quickly enough so I stood....I have to install my CS5...will make that cloning easy, eh?

  10. Cloning in CS5 is not as easy as it sounds.... Still not perfect but pretty good.
