so I was driving down the road again

Hey You'll,

On Saturday I had the privilege of shooting with Kevin and Gale. Its always great to shoot with Cafe folk. Unfortunately the weather was overcast and the bird life was slow and worst of all no eagles got close enough to shoot. :frown:

I was cooking that night so I had to leave a bit early. I wished Kevin and Gale well and started driving home. I kept an eye on the stretch where I had seen the eagles before but no eagles today. There was this osprey on the side of the road though.

Thaks Gale. I kept looking for you or Kevin to come down the road but no luck. He's eating a fish. Why he decided to eat by the side of the road instead of up on some tree or pole like they usually do is beyond me unless it was the rain that kept him on the ground.

I know you have been having a lot of rain down there, but I didn't know that the Osprey could catch fish on the road

We plan to head down to Pompano Beach this weekend if Wilma does not do too much damage. Hope for the best.

We have a fish down here called a mother-in-law fish.
the ungliest fish in the ocean. I think that is what he has.

So far we've had a very dramatic lightning storm w/o too much rain.

I have a UPS so haven't shut down yet.

Guess I better go look at the radar and see what we are in for.

Give it up. Ospreys are cool but they are still the consolation prize to bald eagles. I was hoping for some cool eagles shots and had to settle for an osprey.

Cool shots, once again, Harry! Gale & I hung around for a little while after you left. I was certain the eagle would make an appearance. Unfortunately, it started to rain and got pretty dark. Consequently, no eagle. Two different raptors appeared at the tree though so all was not lost. Have to post those yet. Maybe Wickham Rd will become more popular than the wetlands themself!

Hi Mike,

I think I'm going to stop going to the wetlands. For now on I'm going to collect roadkill, lay it out on the road and just wait and see what happens. :biggrin:
