some adorable insects I have known

  1. Here are some cute looking insects I have seen.

The first one with the red eyes was really cool looking. I assume the second one is some type of beetle, it had this beautiful pattern on it (doesn't come out so well with the DOF I used). The 3rd one had these long legs that dragged around behind it when it was flying, at first I thought it was a wasp, but now I'm not sure after looking at some other pictures of wasps as the body does not look the same.

Of course, if anybody can help me ID them, please do.

Ditto. You're becoming quite adept with that 105, Victor. If you want to pursue ID's further, try www.bugguide.net -- just click on a body shape to get started.

  4. Thank Gale.

Thanks Bob. I am starting to "understand" the 105 better  I'll take a look at the site you mentioned.
