Thanks for the MITO video link.

I tried to not be on base when the alert pad was scrambled. The base was locked down with no one coming or going for 30 minutes to a couple of hours depending upon the drill. Late one afternoon I was in the family picnic area by the crew's building by the alert pad when a large, 4 engine propeller aircraft landed and taxied to flight line and stopped. No one came out to meet the aircraft. The aircraft had full view of the alert pad and the runway. After about 10 minutes, we left the picnic area and the base. Later I learned that a drill started shortly after I left and the alert pad was cleared. After dark that evening, the aircraft returned.
