  1. A few more bird pictures with the D1H and 80-400mm VR Nikkor (except the duck and ducklings where I used the 85mm f1.8). All were taken at the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust center at Slimbridge Gloucestershire UK.

    1/500 at f8 250mm
    1/1250 at f8 400mm
    1/800 at f8 400mm
    1/200 at f6.3 85mm f1.8 lens

Great images. The detail is outstanding.

  3. Thanks - I keep telling myself that as I only shoot for the web and print no larger than A4 I don't need a D2X (I can't afford one anyway  ).
  4. Nice close ups!!!! Looks great here, look forward to viewing on my CRT at home................getting the D2x bug are we, we only live once!!! ;-)

Nice photos. The Mute Swan is especially nice.

    Very nice, sharp images Dave.

I'm in the same boat as far as the cam. I process virtually 100% of my shots for the web. For this, I can't possibly justify an X. And, like you, I couldn't afford one anyway.
