Some Blooms from PA...

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by lanthier, Aug 17, 2008.

  1. Spent the weekend with my in-laws at the house in the southwestern PA mountains. Lovely weather and great time. I practiced shooting some birds and deer, but things posted here are the close-ups of the omnipresent blooms! All taken with D700, most with 105VR and mostly handheld.

    1. Shasta Daisy I f4.5 1/640

The Shasta daisies have been a staple here and part of my wife's early memories of visiting this place. We have some in our yard that we brought back. I should take the extraneous OOF petals in the lower and center left out. On the next two, I was lying on the ground admiring the view!

Rich nice work, I really like the Caterpiller, and the busy bee
  3. Thanks Tony, kind of you to comment. My daughter had fun toting that caterpillar around for a while before placing it back where I found it.

  7. Rich I can see that you are loving that new D700. Love the caterpiller and the blackeyed susans...they look so happy dancing there in the blue sky and sun.
  8. Thanks Barb! It was a glorious day all around... I was just looking through my shots from that weekend and came across this one. I have 5 brothers, and this one just made me think of them for some reason...
