Some Cross Contry Attempts

  1. These are some of my Cross Country shots from this weekend, You guys helped a ton with football, so PLEASE fire away at these. I always appreciate the help.

I think it's good stuff, if you shoot this course again you might want to try getting down really low (almost water level) at the opposite bank of the stream and shoot the runners from a direct angle as they cross towards you, my 2 cents. Also a little strobing like Geoff and Joe use might be helpful in the woods.

    I started out shooting low at the water level, but started to become muddy and then I started to get splashed so I moved to a dry spot.

    I never think to use flash outside, but I to think it might look a little better, it would add a catchlight, another great Idea, thanks

  6. I like #2 best, the stream crossings are good too. I've never seen one on a XC course, my daughter's home course goes through a cow pasture with cows and pies!:smile:
