    As I recall, the Fort on Dry Tortugas, your first picture, is said to be the largest brick structure in the western hemisphere. Strange claim for a small island west of Key West. Very picturesque place...

    Tom, yes, Fort Jefferson is the largest brick structure in the western hemisphere. Amazing how it is so solid and still up after all these years.
