Looks like you getting a lot of use out of that 16-85vr, and it s working well for you...
The high ISO shots we get these days are really great, and I can only see them getting better... Now you need to get a few shots of the Lab in low ISO... LOL...

    Cool shots!

  12. Thank you!

Let me know if you feel like I've hijacked your thread, I saw it in the lens archive thread and I figured I'd contribute. I can take 'em down if you'd like.

I really like your 3rd and 4th shot!!

    Congrats on your new son...
I like your photos with the 16-85VR and have been thinking about making the purchase but hesitate now that the cheaper 18-105VR is available. I don't care for the bokeh of the 18-85 but the 18-105 may not be better. Guess I'll wait a little longer but am leaning toward the 16-85VR. Looks like a very nice lens.

Very nice pictures, Holmes. I like mine as well. Very sharp and not too heavy..

  20. congrats to the OP for bringing another photographer into the world!

regarding the 16-85, the outdoor shots taken with this lens looks wonderful! i was thinking about getting this strictly as an outdoor walkaround, and some shots here have proven it to be very worthy. is this lens very portable?? i am coming from a canon 20D with a 24-70L as a walkround, so im sure anything will be more portable that my current combo!
