I couldn't mow the yard after work today because of some much needed rainfall so I set up to see what I could photograph.

Brown-headed Nuthatch - This bird is completely fearless and never sits still. I have seen this one numerous times but have only caught him this one time.

    Animated Titmouse. (from another day)

Female House Finch in the rain. I centered the bird in this composition because of the surrounding branches.

Nuthatch in the rain. First one I have seen in weeks.

The sun came out and this cute little Wren showed up for some mealworms. Usually the worms dry up because nothing eats them so hopefully this Wren will become a regular.

Gee, I wish that we had gotten some rain here. I'm jealous.

    Very nice captures.

Trick to using meal worms is to stick them in some peanut butter where you want them. And yes the wren will be back for both.

  5. Andy, very nice set. The last shot is a great shot.
