If you haven't already, you definitely need to check out the shots in the Merritt II forum. These aren't just for the folks that attended. We had a great time together, and got some wonderful shooting opportunities. Here are some examples: Roseate Spoonbills: The lighting was very tough, but I love the way that their wings are absolutely translucent under the prevailing conditions. You can even see the bone structure. Really cool. Great Egrets: These guys just put on a flying exhibition. Again, very tough lighting. It was difficult to get the bird exposed properly against the bright, flat sky.
