  1. Last summer we passed by the hometown of our youth again for a brief visit.
The quays along the river Leie were still not completely finished but they're getting there.

A far less sunny day than on the previous visit :)

Ending with some nostalgia. My old - now relocated - high school. Just prior to it being torn down.

I'll add a separate thread with some images from the Saint-Michael's church.

By the way, if somebody is wondering about the f/3.5 in the exif info, that is the maximum aperture of the lens that is recorded. Not the aperture at which the images were taken :)

  2. The riverside is looking good :D

  3. Thank you, Al!
    Very much appreciated!

It has come a long way.
Even the river itself. In the seventies it was almost impossible to stand still on the bridges on a hot summers day because of the stench that would come up from the polluted water
Luckily that is in the past and there is now fish, again, in the river.

  4. I love this series, Bart. You have such an eye for perspective.

  5. Beautiful, very nostalgic series.
    1, 3 and 4 are my favourites

  6. Beautifully captured images that invite one to visit.

  7. I remember you series from last year; it was also on our list of place to visit in October, but as you know we ran out of time with all the other amazing places Belgium has to offer.

  8. All of the photos are quite nice but the first one is really special. What's not to like about that one?

  9. Thank you, Dossy, Annette, Bohdan, Nick and Mike!
    Really appreciated!

  10. Very nice compositions and processing Bart. My fav is #1.

  11. Really appreciated, Binnur!
    Thank you!
