Almost every year we have a bird make a nest in the corner of our front porch and hatches some new little ones. She makes a mess with all of her mud and building materials, we just wash it down after she's done.

Here they are waiting for moma to return with some lunch

It's getting very crowded in that nest

And this is the moma - she's not a hawk, but she watches me like one

And we have a family of these guys nearby as well. We've learned to not keep anything edible outside or in the back of the truck.

They are generally nocternal but we occassionally see them during the day. this one was trying to sneak up and get some chips our grandson had thrown on the ground.

I'm not generally worried about them close to the house - they tend to come onto the porch almost every night. As long as I can convince my grandson to not try to catch them or pet them.

Nice photos.
For the past two weeks I've had a security camera recording a Robin's nest under our deck. It started with two eggs and within two weeks the baby birds flew for the first time. Now the nest is empty.

It was addicting to watch and a lot of fun.
