Some Plants In Chile

  1. We took these on our trip up the coast of Chile, March 1-15, 2005

Taken In Tortel, a small fishing village with no roads:
    18916486-M.

A very strange twisted tree trunk. The naturalist with us thinks it is caused by the high winds in the area, since the trunk is twisted, but the side branches are not. Taken on Isla Clemente
    18916357-M.

The flowers on this plant called Taique looked just like the candy corn you get at Halloween. Taken on Isla Clemente:
    18916687-M.

There were trees with a strange red bark on Isla Mocha:
    18916596-M-1.
