Don't really know. There's only one official water strip in Miami (X44), but lots of seacoast and lakes around. I see floatplanes often, even float-equipped ultra-lights and then I saw this one (a Searey) in #7.

Hi Alex,
Nice shots as usual, I thought DHL went under!

Mt Dora just NW of Orlando just opened a seaplane port and from what
I have heard it's pretty busy.

I'll reply again (unfortunately last post got lost with the recent forum database issue).

Thanks. I have been to Mt. Dora twice in the past Nice town. Didn't know about a seaplane port. Will look for it when in the area.

Florida is one of the most popular spots for seaplane pilots. The seaplane pilots association is headquartered in Lakeland. They also publish a seaplane base book that lists all the places that are seaplane friendly.

I need to go back to Winter Haven florida for some recurrency training. Ive not flown a seaplane in over a year.
