Sometimes the Continous AF works..sometimes not

This 1st one was shot @1/200th,so that may be the culprit right there. There rest were much faster. Allshot w/D2X/200-400/tc 1.7, so 650mm.

Very nice Steve. The honkers are very sharp. I think you are right on the mallard. 1/200th is way too slow for these guys. Heck, 1/640th is too slow. 8)

BTW, did you get the check?

Brian, if you go to my pbase site, I already have 236 birds pics there, so I have been doing this for quite a while. Anyway, glad you liked em!

I hear ya Frank, it was getting dark out, and really should'a cranked up that doggone ISO!

I don't know I kind of like that effect on the Mallard, makes him look like a big humming bird!!

I like the cows with wings too, we have enough of them around I should start shooting some :lol:
