Sandy water is running off this Snowy Egret after he grabbed his prey in 2 inches of water. Matanzas Inlet, FL on Memorial Day.

Nice shooting and great timing. Love the light on this one. I imagine you got dirty and wet with that great low angle shot.

It was a dime sized "bead" of sandy water that surface tension could only hold for a fraction of a second. When the "water broke", he got a sandy water shower. This was in a 10 foot wide circular tidal pool full of stranded fish that 5 Snowies were lucky enough to find. In 15 minutes there were no fish left.
