I was pleased with these, but the Bald Eagle captures https://www.nikoncafe.com/vforums/showthread.php?t=111063kinda took a bit of the sheen off!

Well, from my own experience shooting Eagles, and trying to shoot these fast little guys, I'm more impressed by these. Beautiful shots.
  5. Great shots. Love the Stilt BIF.

  6. I've never been able to get a stilt in flight. They are not that common here. See them occasionally. Only saw and shot sora twice.

    These are all great shots!

    Thanks for the comments.

Frank: I was extremely happy with these, but the Baldy shots are something I've been wanting for sometime. In nov/dec 2005 I found a Baldy nest site close by and rented a Canoe to go see it. I toppled getting in the canoe and dropped my D70 and sigma 70-200 into the water!!!!! Well thank goodness for insurance and I wisely upgraded the replacements to a D2H and sigma 100-300 f4 (since upgraded for a nikon 300 afs) and haven't looked back since. I think I'll print a decent Baldy shot for my insurance agent (though probably not one with a devoured rabbit hanging from its talons!)
