South of France

Discussion in 'Wanderlust and Travel' started by johnaalex, Aug 18, 2008.

  1. I have just spent 17 days exploring the south of France, Provence in particular, started in Nice and ended up in Lyon. Apart from great photographic opporunities, the wine and food was pretty good too .

    2) And at night (the Negresco is regarded as one of the best hotels in town - but I did not stay there :frown:)

  2. Nice shots John.

It's a shame we couldn't have hooked up. I'm on your route from Nice to Provence.

    Regards,

  3. Thanks, yes it would have been nice to have met up - I could have tried some of your lenses .

  4. Nice captures

Nice captures John, would love to visit Nice someday. The South of France is such a beautiful part of the world.

Nice shots; 2nd pic. brings back a lot of fond memories for me. I stayed at the Negresco back in 2005 when I went to attend the F1 in Monte Carlo.

South France is always a nice place to visit, but only after / before summer.

  7. Thanks - I am rather pleased with that one

Certainly is a great place for photgraphy, glad you like my pics, thanks.

  8. I was in Nice in July this year - very hot, but very beautiful.

    Great shots.

  9. THanks for posting John- I was in Lyon last weekend too. It was a lot of fun and the first time that I have actually spent any time wandering around the city. (I know fully what you mean about the food and drink too )
