Space Shuttle STS-114 Rollout

Discussion in 'Transportation' started by mattbratt, Sep 20, 2005.

  1. Here are some of the Space Shuttle Discovery, on the rollout of STS-114 for Return to Flight. All of these are not adjusted, just converted from NEF to JPG. (As you can see, the white balance is a bit off, does it seem same to you?)

All taken with D-70 and Nikon 28-200

These are great! Who cares about WB when you have shots of the Shuttle only a few hundred feet away.

Very cool Matt, thanks for sharing!
  5. Heck, WB made easy, huge white target right in front of ya

AWESOME shots, thank you for posting them. Wish I could get that close!
  6. Beautiful shots, Matt!

    What white balance?
  7. Just for fun, I would post these.

Pics of the river rock on the crawlerway before and after the crawler-transporter drove through. My foot in one shot for scale.

  8. Now that is one heck of a gravel maker! Very interesting for sure.

So what does that thing weigh with shuttle on it? Almost as much as me perhaps?

Just curious - What speed does that giant thing move at when moving with the shuttle on it? Couple miles per hour or so?
