I think what they are looking at is the feed tray. They are waiting for the Scrub Jay to leave so they can eat..

Hi Bobby.The plant is an almond tree. It has nuts every year but they are bitter. That does not stop the squirrels from eating them.

I recall the fog, I lived in Palo Alto for a long time.
