every now and then you find a bird who seemingly wants to show off for the camera. This Reddish Egret is The Resident Red at Ft Desoto and he is used to people.
In his breeding plummage he is quite a looker. We were in the salt water marsh on our knees and he ignored us. Talk about an exciting experience,
you never forget it......

Stunning. I hope you share these with many many people, as too few ever see what beauty is actually out there.
Sometimes I look at work and think I should just put my camera in a box and go do something else. This is one of those times, but I will keep plugging.
Beautiful work

I've seen professional models that didn't pose as well as that. Nicely done. Number 2 is my favorite, I'm not sure why.
thanks Miriam
Excellent set of images, first rate.

You must speak his language, Randy. You got him to preen for you. Nice set!

Yes n° 1 & 4 stand a bit out.

we are so obsessed with Light we plan these trips around the tide charts and the 1st 2 hours after sunrise....sunset is ok but Florida gets so hot the birds and photographers would rather be somewhere else at 5pm:)
Very impressive set Randy.
thanks buddy
