The bird flew right into this little hole at the base of the dam. I brightened the photo; it's actually quite dark in there.

Here's the same bird after it hopped out on a little rock a few feet away.

Hunter, the second one shows off the great colors - I know you didnt' but the first one looks like you had 'him' pse for you - interesting shot. I wonder if that is a favorite place for 'him' to 'hide'??

Thanks Mark. I shoot at this dam every week - it's only a mile from my house - but I'd never noticed this little tunnel before. It's probably been underwater all winter. It's also right in a corner of two walls where you can't see it from most vantage points. The bird flew in there two or three times over the course of a couple of hours but never stayed in there long.
