One of the special attractions at MI6 was a trip on Tom Carver's boat to a secluded island full of roseate spoonbills, herons and egrets. These are some of the spoonbills. All with little or no crop.

Very nice, Alex! It was great experiencing the island with you on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, at Thursday night's dinner, I found out that Dave and Luis were going out again on Friday and didn't have a third, so I asked Connie if she minded not getting up at oh-dark-thirty to head over to the gulf side (she was quite happy about that ) and I joined them for a second trip. It was quite a bit colder then when we went out -- this time I wore the waders!

I agree that the boat trips to the rookery were the highlight for the East coast. Not that the other places were lacking in subjects, but the island rookery was an experience akin to sensory overload -- which bird do I image! Harry, we will need to incoproate this into each MI shoot from now on.
