This week's challenge is "Let's Face It". We all know that capturing the eyes is paramount, facial expressions seal the deal in quality sports action photography. So, start posting your very best sports action shot in which the player's face tells the whole story.

As always, here’s how the Sports Forum Challenge works….

Each week we will have a theme to which everyone who chooses to participate must submit a photo(s). If someone opts to post more than one image, the first image is your official entry.

Each winner will have the opportunity then to select the new challenge and pick the winner for their challenge.

You have till Sunday to enter your photo at which point (Sunday night of each week) we can pick a winner.

Here are a couple examples of what I am looking for...

  2. Frank,
Can you win your own challenge? Those are excellent!

    Here is one from yesterday...
OK what do you think, The Twins Denard Span just drove in a run and he's happy, or was called out on strikes and isn't pleased?

Same idea, different player, Miguel Cabrera just complains a different way.

No Sir....I'm out of the loop this week. Thanks for posting....who's next?
  4. Team Canada Rugby -- "This one's going to hurt" ... while playing the England National Team. Add to it, she was already playing with a shoulder that popped out of place earlier in the game.

Another that I had considered, was this:

The thrill of victory & the agony of defeat. Sorry about the quality, but, I think they were taken with a video camera.

The first two pictures are from a game during the season. The first is of my son being helped off the field with a concussion. The second is another of our players headed to the hospital for stitches.

Ahhhh... the third picture is from the championship game at the end of the season against the same team. Revenge is sweet!

  7. WCBike: These challenges are for the photos that we personally take. I don't believe video (unless it's a Nikon video camera?) is considered an entry, as far as I know? Not to be rude, just notice that you're fairly new.

No problem. Not really concerned about winning the contest. I just felt they met the criteria really well.

I have a few, not sure which should be my entry :Curved:

  10. Tim,
I think you already chose by the order in which you submitted, and I would agree with the order too. Although #1 and #2 are pretty close since they're both so nice.

Tough challenge already with these great entries!

First one's my entry, of course. the others are for fun.

She got pulled down by the girl she's landing on, but still can only think about getting to that ball!

Pain pretty much says it all:

One of those, "Uh oh!" moments as a goal keeper.
