No adjustments done to the files. Files are resized and saved with Nikon Capture, to preserve EXIF information. Colour compensation filter and stabilizes flood lights were used to avoid any white balance adustments in postprocessing. Files have Nikon Adobe RGB profile embedded.

Spot-metered from the central white patch:

Compensated +2.5eV (will work more or less if NEF is ncmprssd):

    Dear Paul,

If you download the files and measure noise, you will see that exposing to the right at low ISO may not be absolutely necessary. I will repeat the experiment with different ISO settings first; centre-weighted and matrix will work close to perfect from ColorCheckers - they are designed for that. But of course I will run the same on matrix and centre-weighted, as well as AWB test.

  5. Hi Iliah,

    Nicely done.

I'll be interested to see the results using AWB, and at different ISOs.

    Best wishes,

    David
