Merritt Island, Florida, at the Biolab Road boatramp. I was getting lots of silhouette shots and wanted to light the tree a little, so I parked my truck about 50 feet away and left the tail lights on. Still new to night shots, so any help is welcome.

Nice one. The only thing I would wonder about is the overall brightness. Is it too bright? I am not saying it is, just I don't know. I would just try different brightness levles, or darking the darks.

I think I like Allan's suggestion...slightly darker.

Very nice!

One other thing you could do on a long exposure is run with a flashlight to light up certain areas you want. If you wear dark clothes and run you will not be in the frame long enough to register, but the light will.

Of course you could do it from behind the camera but often times the flashlight is not powerful enough to reach and you have to get it closer.
