Good info except maybe the ‘get wet’ tip. Putting the tide behind you is not good advice
I would be hesitant to position my camera too close to the water level. A few years ago, I had my gear bathed in saltwater due to a rogue wave...and that wasn't fun. Since then, I don't trust my judgement in terms of when one of these waves will be approaching!
