I took a ride down to the Benezette, PA area today with a couple of friends looking for elk. We mangaged to find a few bulls, along with some whitetail deer. As you would expect, the bulls and bucks are still wearing their velvet, and probably have another month of growth ahead of them. These guys all get along now, but come September they'll be fighting each other for dominance.

Very nicely done Fred. Great compositions and exposure. You even got the darn biting insects!
Beautiful photos. Great colors.
What majestic animals!! Love the photos!!
Some magnificent looking animals. And no shortage of them. Nice job.

Thanks to all of you for your comments. Nick - the flys were horrible on the whitetails. I felt bad for them, as there is not much the deer can do about them. Hopefully, I can get some fall picks, when the antlers have lost their velvet and the flys are gone.
