Stop Questions

Discussion in 'General Technical Discussion' started by gbenic, Sep 11, 2005.

  1. I thought that I had a clue, but I was mistaken. Could someone explain (or list a good link) f stops? My questions are what are the full and partial stops in aperture, shutter speed, and ISO?

    Thanks.

    f1.8 largest aperture , f32 smallest

    iso 50 low, 3200 high

shutter speed   30 seconds open shutter, 1/8000s second fastest

your questions, are there something we are missing

  5. Thanks Paul. I will (try to) remember the "formula". I am sure with time, it will all sink in.

Marc, f32 is not the smallest aperture, I use f64 and f128 on the view camera every once in a while.
