This is great!! It should be totally dark but the light from the right illuminates the scene perfectly.

Well spotted Dez. I was wondering if anyone would pick up on this. Just got Photomatix Pro and this and another post here " The Bench " were initial tests to see if i liked the results. Both images were 7 shot blends using a D700 and processed for a mild look rather than the somewhat wacky stuff i've seen. Excellent program.

Very nice image! Seems to me that a cheap body and cheap glass are no objections to good technique and good visual design.
