Strange Behaviour

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Harry S., Jul 30, 2005.

  1. I mean the LCD of my D1X. Yesterday, I was shooting at the open air musical again, when - towards the end of my shooting - my LCD suddenly said farewell.
I already prepared for bringing my camera in for repair, but this morning it worked again.

Has anything similar happened to some of you - and, what is more important, found out the reason for this?
    Thanks

Poorly performing battery? The D1X battery can be a little capricious to have a mind of its own.

  3. Bjorn, that was my initial thought, but the battery was almost full at the time it happened, and I was still able to shoot.
My second thought was that it could have had to do with high temperature it had that evening.
Anyway, what's more important is that it works again.
    Cheers

Yes - heat. I have seen LCDs on Coolpixen turn temporarily black when left in an Arizona car during the day. My D100's LCD seems to be immune to that though... :)
