Last weekend my friend ralph and i decided to throw it all to the wind and try one of the most exciting climbs in the lake district, the eastern approach to Helvellyn via Striding edge.

Beautiful scenery and nice record of your climb. How long did it take you?

Hi Simon, it took five hours, from beginning to end. Three hours up and two down.

I'll do some shots of swirral edge tomorrow and post those too.

    Thanks for looking!
