Stuck In The Muck

So, I'm wrapping up a day of shooting and I'm heading back. The sun is getting lower as I'm driving into it. As I start to approach a pond, I begin looking for some birds that might be within range. As I begin to pass the backside of this pond, I notice a cow staring at me. The cow is pretty much below the road surface. I stop my truck and notice she is in the pond. Judging by the blooming lily pads and her back is barely cresting the water, I realize she is pretty much stuck. I tracked down the rancher and he comes and frees her from the muck. That was my good deed of the day/week/month  She was freed from what would have been her demise

(The last few pics were taken with my lazy camera because the 70-300 was just too much for such the short distance)

Good for you for being such a good caretaker of critters. Those ragged ears look like she's had a rough life so far.
