    i like the intensity that you were able to capture.. how was the lighting in the arena?

    Hi Jaleel,

    Thanks for looking! All lighting was overhead & Tungsten. For some reason flash photography was allowed which often made it difficult. I added one picture which shows the flash in effect.

  4. That looks wild ! I can imagine the grunting going on. Very intense. Arena lighting is usually prettty hard on us poor Photographers!!

    Thank you very much for your comments. This was my first time to see Sumo live and it was a lot of fun. The battles are intense in the sense that most matches are over in less than a minute so technique and power are very carefully managed.

    I was amazed at how good they looked using ISO 400. well done, sir.
