I went down to the beach this morning for some early morning shots and saw these guys, this is my first time shooting anything like this so any feed back would be great.

  2. Lisa,

I like 4 the best. I am in no way good at sports photography but having watched my husband skateboard and surf, I think the key is to know about the sport so that you can predict when the cool stuff is going to happen. I've tried to catch water skiing and wakeboarding, and it took a couple of outings to get anything amazing, as I had to learn to know when to expect "air" and whatnot. Great shots..especially for it being your first time shooting surfing! :)

Good shooting Lisa, some nice action by some brave surfers. This looks like fun to shoot.

Mylene...thanks, that is also my favorite, I have a couple of him going through that mini tube. I was pretty happy with what I had considering where I had to shoot from due to the sun

Frank...thanks..they are pretty brave...they surf below under the Golden Gate Bridge by the rocks, here is a perspective picture. The guy with the helmet liked to steer in between the rocks.

  5. I think these are GREAT!
I think the colors are wonderful, and they are sharp.

    Good job, Lisa!

  6. Lisa,
    you did well
but, each of these needs some post-processing to make them EVEN BETTER

i like what you did here, however
i'd be happy to show you a couple of simple redos
but, ONLY WITH YOU PRIOR PERMISSION, of course

I have PS and Elements, I prefer Elements

  9. i appreciate the opportunity to show you
all i did was do a bit of brightening.... shadows and highlights
    some selective blurring
then some sharpening.... really makes the water stand out
    these are FAR FROM PERFECT
but, it gives you an idea of how YOUR great images can be made even better
    again.....
thanks for allowing me to show this to you
