I shot this yesterday morning from an area of Mt. Rainier NP called Sunrise
That is a beautiful shot. I like the composition.
WONDERFUL!! We drove over Chinook Pass yesterday afternoon (Sunday) and there were a lot of clouds around ... never really saw the mountain. Guess I need to get up earlier!!
Nice shot, I like the composition and the wildflowers add additional interest to the foreground.
I might prefer a bit warmer color balanace on the foreground. The bluish light in the shadows is probably more accurate to what the scene actually looked like, but I wonder if adding some warmth would make the picture even more pleasing. I'd use a mask if you try it though, because shifting the color balance on the upper portion of the image would negatively impact the blue sky.
Thank you Cliff
Thanks Ken, we left for Rainier at 2 AM planning on shooting Tipsoo, but it was socked in with low clouds so we still had plenty of time to get to Sunrise and find a spot just off the wonderland trail and wait for the sun. We finished off the morning with a quick ascent up 1100 feet to take a look around the Crystal Mt. back country.
Thanks Jeff, I just updated the shot with a little more warmth.
Beautiful Scene !
Thank you Bill

Boy, it's going to be a scorcher today
