Sweaty men in the Souks, Dubai

Summer humidiy is still here in Dubai so the sweaty men were taking the pics last night - myself and DubaiPhil.

I live in Dubai but last night was the first tinme I have gone out specifically to shoot so I am hoping it still counts for 'Wanderlust'.

I must say enormous thanks to DubaiPhil for taking me out, helping me setup my camera and helping me overcome my nervousness for street photography. Mostly though I would like to thank him for just being a thoroughly nice chap.

I had a lot of fun and learned so so much from Phil.

My shots are basically an homage to Phils work but I am proud of them none the less while I find my self.

I do love shooting around the Souks. I've avoided it all summer because of the humidity, but I think it's getting cooler now, slowly.

The people shots are great - it does take big balls to get in to it and be brave enough to approach the workers. Some, but not many, will either refuse or ask for money.

Thanks Merlin - no courage necessary in this part of town. These guys are a friendly bunch and most are happy for a brief conversation and shot. I've only jokingly had a couple of people ask for money for a shot but I just walk on. I then go back from time to time with prints.
